Roe Deer is a medium sized deer that is indigenous to the Scottish Borders, with an average carcass size of 11-16 Kilos. The meat is a very delicate flavour and much less strong than venison from Red Deer.
Roe Deer is in season all year round with the buck season carrying on consecutively from the doe season, and is therefore always available fresh.
All our Roe Deer is sourced within a 30 mile radius of our farm and every carcass is inspected by Food Standards Scotland vets. We can therefore guarantee the provenance and quality of this product.
