Roe Deer is a medium sized deer that is indigenous to the Scottish Borders. The meat is a very delicate flavour and much less strong than venison from Red Deer. Roe Deer is in season all year round with the buck season carrying on consecutively from the doe season, and is therefore always available fresh.
